The Science Group, organised jointly by Banstead, Epsom & Ewell and Sutton u3as, meets on the first Wednesday afternoon of January, March, May, July, September and November at Banstead Community Hall, Park Road, Banstead. Each meeting features an engaging talk by an expert speaker covering a wide range of scientific topics, including astronomy, geology, physics, medicine, engineering, technology, climate science and the natural world. The group welcomes anyone with a curiosity about science—no specialist knowledge is required. With fascinating presentations, lively questions and the opportunity to meet members from neighbouring u3as, this is an excellent group for lifelong learners with an interest in science and technology.
