The Epsom & Ewell u3a Italian Improvers group has been meeting every Friday morning on Zoom since 2019, helping members build confidence in speaking Italian in a relaxed, friendly and enjoyable way. The group follows the 80/20 principle—the idea that by learning around 20% of the language, you can communicate successfully 80% of the time. Sessions are light-hearted and fun, with practical conversations, games, quizzes and simple exercises designed to develop everyday Italian at a comfortable pace. Progress may be gradual, but there's plenty of laughter along the way. If you're looking to improve your Italian in a supportive online group, you'll receive a warm welcome.

This group started in September 2019 and continued online throughout the pandemic on zoom. We finished the book Italian in Three Months after about three years of study!!!!!

We now spend our first hour reading and translating a story book and the second hour learning various aspects of Italian grammar.
